Hayes End Football Tournament

As part of the West London Somaliland Community program, we organised on the 25th and 26th of August 2007 a football tournament at Hayes End Park. The aim of this tournament was to assess the needs of the youth and increase their involvement in the community organisation.

The tournament wasn’t promoted widely but the youngsters aged between 15 and 26, came from Wembley to Hounslow and Hillingdon Borough. This has encouraged us to go ahead with the funding application for a Football Club project. The youngsters have made clear their view of how a Football Club can make a real difference to combat the boredom syndrome by the youth.

The tournament was a two days event and the Hayes group has won the final and got the Hayes End Tournament cup on Sunday the 26th of August 2007
